Multistate Compact License Fee — Effective June 1, 2026

NM BON will begin charging a $50 fee for Multistate Compact Licenses.
Current multistate license holders do not need to take action at this time.
Current multistate license holders will see the fee during renewal. To remove compact status, submit notification through the message portal before completing renewal.

The New Mexico Board of Nursing is a state agency protecting public safety through regulation and licensing of ARPNs, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Lactation Care Providers.  We also certify Hemodialysis Technicians and Medication Aides.  Our oversight continues as we are the regulators of education programs for licensees and certificate holders; overseeing practice; reviewing and acting on complaints.

Board Members

A seven-member board appointed by the Governor, the New Mexico Board of Nursing consists of four licensed nurses and three public members. The board meetings and agendas are posted on the website prior to the meeting and the public is welcome to attend in person or by zoom, the open sessions.
